Things take time but start now.

statement

The he waited seven days, according to the time set by Samuel. But Samuel did not come to Gilgal; and the people where scattered from him.

1 Samuel 13:8 [NKJV]

This story is very interesting, don't hesitate to read the whole chapter, before reading this.
Saul was impatient. Yes, he had waited for seven days but now on the seventh day he let go of his hope. He just looked for a plan B to keep his army excited. That led to his destruction. Samuel had already started coming, he was on the way - but in the end it was no use because Saul could not wait.
There is yet another problem, not directly here but it is the same principle: When we get to do something, we have to be obedient immediately - of course we can not do everything right away, sometimes we need to take a shower, get up, change or prepare in any other way. Still it is important that we do not hesitate to start right away.
Keep up your hope to the very end & if you have to do something, start right now.
