Perspective

statement

In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes.

Judges 17:6 [NKJV]

This story is not talking about a period, when there was no king for half a year. Israel had never had a king before and it would have some hundred years more without a king. So reading through, it seems needles to say that they had no king "in those days" but it's a matter of perspective: Having a king means, having someone with another perspective ruling over you. Sometimes it is just not enough to do what is right in your own eyes. Thankfully we have the Bible as a manual for life, still we might need other people really to do what is right. What perspective do you have on what you are doing? Might another ones perspective be helpful?
